Renormalization group (RG) evolution is one of the most important phenomena in quantum field theory. It is essential to consider the RG running of couplings in many phenomenological applications. For instance, in the search of new physics beyond the Standard Model, we need to consider the RG running to correctly interpret the experimental data. While the formalism of calculating RG is well established, the results from explicit calculation show many surprising patterns. In this talk, I will leverage fundamental principles to simplify and elucidate these hidden structures.
